How to handle stress at difficult phases of your PhD education

The aim of the seminar is to give participants increased knowledge about stress, understanding of factors that contribute to their own stress and concrete tools in managing stress and in changing their situation and finding a better balance. The seminar will provide an opportunity for reflection and finding new ways of thinking in how to prevent stress, manage stress in everyday life, and how to create a balance during the doctoral period. This is 2 hours seminar (maximum 20 participants at each occasion). Theory is interspersed with practical exercises. Great emphasis is placed on the participants' own reflections. Focus will be on the following areas: * Stress and stress symptoms * How to prevent stress and manage stress at the moment * The doctoral student's situation * Manage thoughts and feelings * Balance in life * Planning and demarcation
