Professor: Erling Strandberg is a professor in Animal Breeding and Genetics. He has supervised 35 PhD students, either as main or as co- supervisor. The research has focused on breeding programs and estimating genetic variation in various types of traits in various species. The traits studied have been fertility, health, behavior, maternal ability, performance or production, and longevity, and the species dairy cattle, pigs, poultry, horses, and dogs.
