The course is aimed at those who are new to the leadership role of
leading a research group. The course is intended, together with the
introduction and guidance you receive from your immediate manager, to
prepare you for leading research at SLU. If you have a pronounced
managerial role with operational and personnel responsibilities, you are
also expected to attend the course SLU Management (SLU C).
The course is given in English.
Extent:
The course consists of three sessions, each lasting 1.5 days. All sessions
are held live in Ultuna.
Prerequisites
SLU New as a Research Leader focuses on leading research processes and
the interpersonal aspects of leadership. The course is theoretically
grounded in leadership research and psychology. We aim for a course
group of 12–20 participants, which means that if we receive fewer than
12 applications, we will need to postpone the course start until the
group is large enough.
